No more loose laces!

OK ... this falls in the "Why did I not think of this before?!?!" category.

First, a bit of history ...

My boys cannot keep their shoes tied. No matter how many knots or how tight they are tied, by the end of the day, the shoes are untied and the laces are out of the little holes.

Thus the problem ... those little plastic things on the end of the laces (called "aglets" ... wondering who came up with that...) start coming off.

Now, moms out there ... how many of you have tried and FAILED to restring a shoe when the aglets are missing? Not the easiest thing to do, right? I think it's up there with performing open heart surgery or explaining quantum physics to a 3 year old.

Well, one day Beebee came home with all of his laces unlaced (is that a word?) except for one. This one.

It was still in the correct hole. Because it had a knot in it.

And the light came on! Why not put knots in ALL of the laces?!

So that's what I did.

And we haven't had any problems with the laces coming out of the holes since.

You're welcome.

    2. Thanks, Michelle! I need to do this for my oldest son's shoes. His laces are out of control. :)
